Auto change Account Status of users RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have problem in Managing User of Project Server 2010 . User had actived and using nomally, but after a time this user status is changed "Inactive", and they cannot login on PWA. So I (administrator) have to reactive again, it take more time while I worked with multiple users.

How can I solve the "Auto change user status" problem ?

My company use: Prpject Server 2010, SharePoint Svr 2010, SQL Server 2008, Exchange Svr 2010

I would like to get helps of everyone.

    Thanks

    Tuan

  • Hello Huu,

PWA doesn't automatically changes the account from active to Inactive un;less you are using AD sync & lets say if you activate the user but if user becomes inactive in AD, In next AD sync job, User will become inactive in PWA.

Are you using AD sync for your Resources?
    Just read the scenarios:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg750243.aspx

    Scenario Action

The user exists in Active Directory and is a member of the Active Directory group mapped to the current Project Server security group. The user also exists in Project Server, but as an inactive account.

If the Automatically reactivate currently inactive users if found in Active Directory during synchronization option is selected in Project Server, the account is reactivated and is added to the current Project Server security group. If the option is not selected, the account remains inactive in Project Server.
