How to unsubscribe to a PS2010 ssrs report RRS feed

  • Question

  • The good news is I have successfully subscribed to a PS2010 report being delivered via email.  The bad news is I cannot figure out how to unsubscribe!  :)  A few brief web searches say there you should be a drop down on the report itself, but I do not have any drop down.  Please help!

  • Finally figured out a solution.  If I change the view from "Current Reports" to "All Reports and Dashboards" view, I then get the drop down menu when I hover (notice the document icon now next to the report names as well).

  • Hi Jason,

A subscription is a SQL-Server Agent job, and is given a GUID as a title. Check the SQL-Server Agent job history, and if necessary stop the job. If you have more than one subscription, check this link for a useful View on which jobs correspond to which subscription.

Maybe those couple of links might also help you :

    Hope this helps.

  • Thanks Guilaume!  Much appreciated.  Do you know how MSPS2010 users typically manage their report subscriptions?  Should there be a drop down when hovering on the report in the doc lib?  Wondering if I am missing a setting/hitting a browser bug, etc.?

  • Hi Jason,

Since I'm not a SSRS guy (just basic knowledge) and I don't want to mislead you, I'll let my colleagues answer you on this particular point.

    Cheers.

  • Thanks Guillaume.  That agent tip at least stopped the flow of emails flooding my inbox.

Would still be very appreciative of any one else's tips on the recommended method to manage subscriptions though!

  • Jason,

It depends on whether SSRS was deployed in a native mode or an integrated mode.

If it is Native Mode, then the subscriptions are managed from Report Manager (which is a separate site from PWA or SharePoint) and you will see a link called "My Subscriptions" which will allow you manage the subscriptions.

If it is integrated mode, and the reports are being shown in PWA/SharePoint you will be able to do at the report level by using the drop down beside the name.

I do not have a system available currently to verify which permissions control this, but the security control is in addition to the above.

    Hope this helps.

  • Prasanna, SSRS is deployed in SP integrated mode.  Here is a screen cap of the report doc lib in PWA.  I am hovering over the highlighted row and see no drop down.  I do have a check box, but have not seen anything in the Documents or Library ribbon menus up top.  I have tried multiple versions of IE.  Any ideas?

  • Well done Jason, sometime we can spend time struggling on obvious issues!

Let us know if you can solve your subscription issues from the drop-down menu.

And mark any useful replies or answers so you can close the thread.

    Cheers.
