How Do I Create MAP Reports? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed MAP 9.1.265.0, configured the program and executed it. I get results showing the number of devices, but no report is generated. I only have "Sample Reports" in the folder. I've not used this program before and followed the installation instructions taking all defaults. To be sure I didn't miss anything I uninstalled and re-installed a second time. Still no reports. What am I missing?

    Thanks

  • Hi jslaymon,

Once you have successfully inventoried your environment YOU have to generate the reports that are of interest to you.

    Example: SQL Server

Go to Database section (left hand menu).
Double click on SQL Server Discovery box.
Generate the wanted Excel reports in the top right corner.

Depending on your area of interest you can do this for other sections shown in the MAP tool.

    Cheers!

  • As well as the other answers below for creating reports using the MAP Toolkit functionality, you can also create a data connection in Excel (localdb)\maptoolkit to create your own.
