  • Question

  • I installed Exchange server 2010 on new Windows 2008 Server. When start exchange and go into Microsoft exchange on-premises it errors out:

"The following error occurred when searching for On-Premises Exchange server:

Execption calling "GetComputerSite" with "0" arguments: "the Specified domain either does not exist or could not be contracted. "it was running the command 'Discover-ExchangeServer -UseWIA $true'. "

    How can I fix this?

  • Run the command

Nltest /Dsgetsite - make sure you are getting the correct result.

Set u - Make sure you are logged into domain

As james stated make sure there is no DC diag error.

  • What is your environment like is this one domain? How many DCs do you have are both functioning correctly? Run dcdiag on your DCs and report any problems.

  • Hi Marco
Do you have anything update ?
Is it VM network error or DC connection error ?
