Hello,
I'm trying to build audiences in sharepoint based on AD security group. I cant seem to search for the group because the people/group picker dialog box displays the followign message: "No security groups or distribution lists were found based on your search request. Refine the search text, and then rerun teh search request". I;ve got a flat domain model with two active directory domain controllers. There are no issues with adding groups to site permissions. I cant seem to find any error messages in the event log. Any ideas?

I solved it by reinstalling the farm.

Please run full profile import in “Shared Services Administration -> User Profile and Properties” and try again.
