  • Hi Ganesh,

    1. Try to activate using below command

stsadm –o activatefeature –name publishingsite –url http://domain.com/sites/web -force

    2. If your site is a migrated one, refer to this useful article talks about the exact case

  • There is another thread with the same issue:

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/msonline/en-US/a01ce119-4125-4ba8-b431-a3167d277953/trying-to-change-welcome-page-among-other-settings-that-are-missing?forum=onlineservicessharepoint#b054d344-e870-4746-95e3-911f6769f5a4

    What you can try:

    1.  Find the site column called PublishingStartDate under Site Settings>Site Columns. Remove it and try to activate the feature again.

    2. If there are multiple columns like this and/or other things will start throwing errors after you removed the column, you can try removing the site collection and recreating it (better solution but not sure if applicable in your case) or..

    3. Deactivate the feature and activate it again. If deactivate button is not visible, in SharePoint Server you can use Disable-SPFeature, in SharePoint Online use CSOM. Have a look at those:

    4. If none of these work, you may need to contact Microsoft Support via Ticket Request in your portal.

  • Hi Ganesh Dabholkar,

I have same problem in my Sharepoint Online.

I've already requested support from Office 365 Admin center but they can't pass my ticket to superior line of support.

I need to activate the feature. What do you done to resolve the issue?

I've already activated this feature with force parameter but only partially, so i can't change Masterpage and i can't create some pages like wiki pages. Now i have disabled again and i need activate but have the error that you mention.
