Keep documents...not settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • Alright, here is what I want to happen.  I want to be able to only clear all changes made to settings at reboot.  I want all newly created, and modified documents to stay intact at reboot.

I have Windows Disk Protection turned Off, but SteadyState still removes all newly created documents when I reboot.  Is there a way around this?  Thanks!

  • Hi, thanks for the post. Have you enabled “Lock profile to prevent the user from making permanent changes” under User Settings - General ? If this is the case, let's see if this still occurs after disabling the setting.

  • I'm just a beginner, but from what I'm reading, you need to make a separate disk partition and save files there.
