# Multiple Baseline Formulae

• ### General discussion

• Hi All,

I have created a custom field which contains the following formula for tasks and projects;

IIf(([% Complete]) = 0, "Task not started", IIf(([% Complete]) = 100, IIf(([Duration Variance] / [Baseline Duration]) * 100 > 10 And ([Duration Variance] / [Baseline Duration]) * 100 < 20, "Task Complete, Variance > 10% and < 20%", IIf(([Duration Variance] / [Baseline Duration]) * 100 <= 10, "Task Complete, Variance <= 10%", IIf(([Duration Variance] / [Baseline Duration]) * 100 >= 20, "Task Complete, Variance >= 20%", "White Color"))), IIf(([Duration Variance] / [Baseline Duration]) * 100 > 10 And ([Duration Variance] / [Baseline Duration]) * 100 < 20, "Task in Progress, Variance > 10% and < 20%", IIf(([Duration Variance] / [Baseline Duration]) * 100 <= 10, "Task in Progress, Variance <= 10%", IIf(([Duration Variance] / [Baseline Duration]) * 100 >= 20, "Task in Progress, Variance >= 20%", "Black Color")))))

It displays graphical indicators.

This formula is giving me the desired results, however I have a requirement to create another formula which is identical to the one mentioned above, but for Baseline 1.

The formula should be placed in another custom field adjacent to the field that contains the above formula.Can this be done at Project level and Task level?

I want this without using SSRS or any other reports.

• Hi Rajput,
The variances you have used here are auto calculated from the baseline fields.  To calculate a variance from baseline1, you will have to use your own formula.  Where you have [Duration Variance] above you can replace this with

([Duration] - [Baseline1 Duration])

[Baseline Duration] should be replaced with [Baseline1 Duration]
