DPM 2012 became evaluation copy after update RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Support,

We've been using System Center 2012 - Data Protection Manager for quite some time.

We checked update and downloaded System Center 2012 SP1 for DPM. After installing & using for a while, we noticed that it prompted us for expiry soon. My question is that we have a valid copy of System Center 2012 for DPM, why suddendly it became evaluation copy? And how can we make it valid and not to expire?

    Best Regards,

  • Hi,

DPM 2012 Sp1 is a complete SKU not just a service pack, so you need to enter a valid product key.  It sounds like you downloaded the evaluation of DPM 2012 SP1 and now you need to upgrade it to the full retail version and supply a valid product key during that upgrade.  That should remove the time bomb.
