redirected folders deleted

    Question

  • Original domain was server 2008. Added server 2012 r2.Migrated all roles to 2012 AD. All previous group policies working fine. created new group policy for drive mappingonly. associated this policy to group of 3 people. no other policies were changed or associations. these 3 users have lost all their redirected folders. I cannot find on server share, nor on their notebook. looked at new drive GPO and all references for redirection were "not configured".

  • Hi,

Before going further, what share folder did we map to these three users, the share where their redirected folders were stored? Here, we can run command gpresult/h gpreport.html to collect group policy result report to check how group policy settings are applied to the users. Besides, had we enabled access audit for these redirected folders? Whether or not, please check event logs in Event Viewer to see if some related events were logged.
