Workflow Assigns tasks without form RRS feed

  • Question

  • What I have now:

A custom list with a workflow.
When there is a new item, it will fire a new workflow associated to this new item.
One or more users will be assigned in order to edit the new item that has just been added.

They have to edit the item through a InfoPath form. But, if one of them edit the item directly through the SharePoint Web site List and not via the task created, the workflow will still be stuck because the workflow still wait for someone to fill the task.

    -----

So, I would like the workflow to not create a form, but to assign the users to the list that contains the item, or directly open the edit window of the item.
And, if possible, to wait until the specific field to be fill...

With Form, it is possible, but I would like to know if it is possible without form ?

    I use VS2010 - SP 2010

  • Yes you can create your form in sharepoint designer.  Designer's workflow has a "wait until a field changes"... action.
