Followed by a ResMA warning on the export, I see this in the CS object properties:

    Error: dn-attributes-failure

Connected data source error code: 8373

Connected data source error: The name reference is invalid.|

    would this be related/culprit?

    Running on W2K8R2SP2, w/SQL2008R2SP2

    Thanks Pete

  • Pete,

I guess we would need to know what is throwing the message.  Little backrground, instead of an error dump, please.

  • From the description I suspect that you have an AD MA agent which are generating those messages in event log?

Or maybe do you use Synch Rules?

  • HI, I thought I listed it, but its the ResourceAD MA export (every time it runs - in this instance its every hour). A few days ago I did see a status for this MA "stopped-deadlocked" however only recently started and happen four random times in about 3 weeks, unable to find any additional indo on that, I'm mentioning it, incase its related.

Let me know what other info do you need? Thanks

  • Ok.. if you would run the agent manually (FI, FS, E) - during which step you see the issue? I bet it is during Export - am I right?

If so, please check if you are not trying to enable any account (change UserAccountControl). If it is this case, I suspect that the account doesn't have password or password has expired there.
