Sounds Tab missing in mmsys.cpl Sound Control Panel on Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Within the mmsys.cpl (Sound Control Applet in Control panel) on Windows 7 , the "Sounds" tab is missing

    Maybe it's just a policy issue:

    Run... regedit

    HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization\

    Name: NoChangingSoundScheme
    Type: REG_DWORD
    Data: 0x00000000 (0)

    0 = Sounds Tab 
    1 = No Sounds Tab

  • Hi,

      

    I suggest you download and install the latest sound driver according to your version. Also, check when did this issue occurred? Have changed themes recently?
