Does the PWA have rules on disk space? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can anyone please help me understand what this all means, ine of the users asked this question -

I have some question below regarding MSP - PWA workspace

    1. Is it advisable to log issue, risk using PWA - workspace?  if not, what kind of issue, risk log that we can put on? Is this only for strictly for the workplan?

    2. Does the PWA have rules on disk space? We are expecting about 280 RICEFWs and each would have an individual Register which  may require  a certain disk space that PWA admin / manager has to anticipate and to adequately provide for.

    3. What are the other restrictions in using this issue and risk.

  • Hi Ankit,

As for the technical perspective as in your second question you will get expert recomendations on the Project Server forum itself. But theoritically per se Project Management Concept if you would ask then we register ISsues and Risks for all the items that would impact the Project Life Cycle.

  • Risk is a potential condition or event that could have either a positive or negative effect on a project's objectives if it occurs.
  • Issues in industry are called triggers, risk symptoms, or warning signs. Triggers indicate when a risk has or is about to occur.

So a Project Manager has to actively monitor Risks and Issues, assign it to particular owner so that he becomes responsible to handle the situation. Since the tool is Sharepoint based it provides enormous options of collaboration and alerts/reminders etc to keep the entire Project Team informed of all the Issues/Risks and pending Deliverables through the Project Site.
