Sometimes Windows 7 Program Compatibility Checker works..... RRS feed

    We have 5 Fujitsu Notebooks and 5 Asus Tablet PC's running Windows 7 64-Bit Pro.

    Half of these PC's run the Program Compatibility Checker on our 32-bit eClinical Works application and then put a Shield in front

    of the app when finished. The other PC's show the Application as incompatible and do not show the shield.

    Without the shield, we are losing some program features.

    How do you make the Shield come up consistantly? Same Hardware platforms and same 64-bit OS.....

    Sounds really strange that there are different behavior on same systems. Are all users standard users or are some local administrators and/or do you have UAC turned off on some machines?

    To find out what the app really needs in terms of compatibility you might want to run it in Standard User Analyzer tool and see how you can create a permanent compatibility fix and apply them to all your machines for consistent behavior.
