"File Not Found" when attempting to access Site Settings on a workspace site RRS feed

  • When attempting to access Site Settings on a workspace site (Workspace Site --> Site Actions --> Site Settings), we get this error:

    File Not Found.

    Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation.

    What is your SharePoint 2010 version?

     

    Which kind of workspaces did you create?

     

    Did you create any AAMs in Central Administration? If not, please create the corresponding AAMs, then check the effect.

  • I was just coming back to post when i see Rock replied..... def the AAM needed under "intranet" I added mine and all resolved

  • The problem was because we didn't have AAM configured.

  • Are you by any chance using a custom master page for your site?

    If so ensure your custom master page is working correctly. How about create a brand new site collection and go to site settings page does the error occur then?

  • It is a collaboration site, and it works on the original site (root).

    I apologize if I am misunderstanding.

    EDIT: It works when accessing the site via localhost (by remoting into the VM having the SharePoint 2010 installation). D=

  • Have you found an answer for this?  i am having the same issue...  just built fresh sharepoint 2010,  If i am on the local host, It works If i am on my local desktop is does not...
