Forefront Security Client(Management,Collectioin,Reporting) can be installed on windows server 2008R2? (Maybe simply question) RRS feed

    can anyone udpate me?

    and other questioin is , can I use MS sql 2008R2 as FSC database?

    I am going to deploy FSC in my IT environment.

    No, FCS(v1)  server components cannot be installed on 64-bit system. But the FCS client components can be installed on both 32-bit and 64-bit machines.

    No, FCS v1 only use SQL 2005, but the next version Forefront Endpoint Protection supports SQL 2008.

  • You could use SQL Server 2008 R2 in your enviroment.

    For Server use Forefront Server Security and for client use forefront client security.

    Update for what ask any thing you want if you means ( can I use MS sql 2008R2 as FSC database? ) 

    FCS server not support SQL 2008 R2.

    I got it. I will be waiting for the new release of FEP that will be release in the H2 of 2010. but don't know what is exactly date.
