Issue deploying MP with dependencies RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I downloaded the Sharepoint 2010 MP from technet and tried to import it. It asked me to resolve dependencies so I pressed yes, and got this.

BTW, I am on SCOM 2012.

    Microsoft.SharePoint.Foundation.2010 could not be downloaded.

    Microsoft.SharePoint.Server.2010 could not be imported.

If any management packs in the Import list are dependent on this management pack, the installation of the dependent management packs will fail.

    Verification failed with 1 errors:

  • Hello,

Try to download the SharePoint Foundation MP here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=13819

    Then import the Microsoft.SharePoint.Server.2010 MP..

    Regards, Mazen Ahmed

  • He was specifically asking about installing to SCOM 2012, I followed the link you provided and it says "OpsMgr 2007".

Is it really updated to work properly with 2012? THe notes below on the page do not indicate that very well.

  • Most of the management packs for SCOM 2007 are compatible with SCOM 2012.
