Vista, Steady State and Shutting Down RRS feed

  • Question

I have a PC running Vista home premium and steady state.   This is used for a public internet pc.  I would like users to be able to shut down the pc when finished so it does not stay switched on all day as the pc gets very limited use.  If I enable shut down through steady state you get all the options to lock, sleep, hibernate, shut down.  I just want shut down!!  If you give people options they will choose the wrong one.

I know you could do this in the 1st steady state with xp.

    Anyone know???

    Thank in advance

  • Hi Iain,

Is the box before "Do not warn the administrator about losing changes before log off, restart or shut down" is selected?
