How do you report a phishing site with Microsoft Edge? RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do you report a phishing site with Microsoft Edge?

You can open the site from Edge Settings with IE11 then in IE11 use safety / smart screen, but within edge I do not see a way of reporting the site directly from the edge browser.

  • Hi NDSN,

For the Edge browser, it is lack of support for browser extensions. We could use the SmartScreen Filter in Microsoft Edge that helps detect phishing websites. Please check the link below to follow the steps.

  • You do not answer his question. He did not ask how to enable or disable smartscreen!

  • On the three dots in the top right corner of the browser, you look for 'Send feedback' while on the tab with the site you want to report, then you choose amongst the options available 'Report Unsafe Site' and provide the info. Hope it helped!

  • Check under Help And Feedback menu item. There is an option to 'Report Unsafe Site'.
