Sharepoint 2010 Template location

  What templates do you mean?  Content type templates, site templates, list templates, theming templates?

  The default answer is almost certainly going to be "the content database" but if you can advise more specifically what you're after it'll beeasier for us to guide you.

  Within the content databases. Only definitions will be stored on the file server.
