Changing the SQL Services Start up account

Question
-
We are using MOPS 2007 + Sp2+ Dec CU
We are being advised bu the SQL Server team to change the SQL Services start-up account. I am trying to understand the impact of this in an existing MOPS installation. What do I need to have the SQL team confirm, to make sure that we have no issues after this change?

Hello Prasanna,
You can change the SQL service account, provided need to think about the farm account permissions on the SQL server.
It is very important to keep the permissions of the account what you are using to access sharepoint & Project databases. Otherwise it will lead to production down.
In case you remove the farm account from SQL, need to create another account with all the databases permission and need to follow the article below to update the sharepoint farm.
