No internet after installing Hyper-V RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm currently in Windows 10 Pro (1803). After I install Hyper-V. I got no internet connection. I need to uninstall Hyper-V so as to get the internet. Although it said I have plugged in the ethernet, it said it doesn't have any internet connection.

What do I need to provide so that you can help me?

Or maybe can we meet a time and we have a private chat with screen sharing so as to solve the question faster?

    My available time (All in HKT +8:00): Monday (6-7pm), Tuesday (5-7pm), Wednesday (4-5:<g class="gr_ gr_34 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" data-gr-id="34" id="34">30pm</g>), Thursday (4-7pm), Friday (4-6pm), Saturday (9-12am)

  • Hi,

Are you using a ethernet cable or just WiFi on your computer?

When you enabled the Hyper-V role, did you check the box for the role installation to create the first Virtual Switch?

    Best regards,
    Leon

  • Did you check the box "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter" ?

What connection type is your Virtual Switch? (External / Internal / Private)

  • That's strange, do you have any static IP configured on your network adapter?

If not you can try reseting it with the following command in a Command Prompt (Admin):

    netsh int ip reset
