How to schedule reports to run daily/weekly?

Question
-
I would like to schedule some reports to either run daily and give me for example any locked out accounts in the past day or run weekly and give me information from the past week. The scheule is a little confusing with the whole beginning and end time, most software will allow you to put a start time and then put when the report should encompass. If someone could elaborate on this I would be very appreciative, thanks.Wednesday, December 31, 2008 2:14 PM

Hi,
As Tim wrote, scheduling reports is not avaliable in SCE (it is in Operations Manager 2007). There is a work around for this but it only works if you are using SQL 2005 std or above as database engine. You can read more about how to use it at http://advisec.wordpress.com/2008/08/13/would-you-like-to-be-able-to-schedule-reports-in-sce/

Can you give more information regarding what types of reporting information you are referring to? You cannot schedule reports in SCE, they must be run from the Reporting pane in the console. You can schedule alerts to be sent, but I am unsure if that is what you are referring to.
Thank you,
Tim

This is actually for Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 but there is no forum for that here. I was hoping that part of the product was the same in SCE. I'm kind of surprised it is this difficult to get some basic reports out of here. Oh well I will stumble through.Wednesday, January 7, 2009 3:10 PM
