Hi,
In my current XenApp 6.5/AppV 5.0sp1 environment, I have locally installed Chrome 35.x on my XenApp servers. I have virtualized Silverlight, Flash, Java and a bunch of other plugins and added this to a connection group. I have also created a
blank/dummy virtual app whose sole purpose is to sit at the top of a connection group and be called upon from the RunVirtual key. So in my instance, my Chrome connection group has the dummy app and my required browser plugins. I launch chrome.exe
and it fires up fine within the VE. All plugins are available. Internet Explorer also has it's own connection group with its own plugins, which is also called via RunVirtual with the dummy app. IE launches and all required plugins are available.
Everything was sequenced using App-V 5.0sp1.
I updated my dev XenApp box to 5.0sp2 HFRP5 and this is where it goes pear-shaped, for chrome anyway.
Other than updating the AppV RDS client, no other items were changed, yet Chrome.exe refuses to launch in it's VE. Internet Explorer however, which references the same browser plugins app and dummy virtual app in its connection group launches without
error.
If AppV is stopped and the RunVirtual key for Chrome.exe is removed, Chrome will launch without error.
I'm stumped.
Any ideas?
