  This problem may occur because the physical memory that is installed on the computer is not working correctly. If the memory is faulty or incompatible, the computer cannot run correctly.

   

  To resolve this problem, replace the faulty or incompatible physical memory.
  
  The Windows Vista installation media includes a tool that tests physical memory. To use the Windows Vista Memory Diagnostic tool, follow these steps:

  1.	Start the computer by using the Windows Vista installation media.
  2.	On the first screen, click System Recovery Options.
  3.	Click Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool.
  4.	Click Restart now and check for problems.

  Alternatively, use the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool from Microsoft Online Crash Analysis. To obtain this tool and to learn more about this tool, visit the following Microsoft Web page:
