Open "cmd" window, but it won't accept any keyboard input RRS feed

    This is on a fairly new (clean) Vista installation (SP1).  I use the Run command to launch cmd.exe.  The command prompt comes up but I can't type anything - all keyboard input is ignored.  This is on a Lenovo Thinkpad x200.

     

    I can past text in, but no keyboard input is allowed.

     

    Any suggestions?

    It dawned on me just after pressing "Send" that there *was* one non-standard program on this:  ActiveWords. When I exited Activewords, the problem stopped happening.

     

    Never mind!
