Baseline Security Analyzer errors RRS feed

  • I have installed Microsoft's Baseline Security Analyzer on a Windows XP Pro 32 bit system with all current updates; connected through a Netgear Wireless Router displaying IP 192.168.1.4.  The MBSA errors stating that it cannot find the computer.  I enter the IP Address and it errors also.  What am I doing wrong?

  • Is the server service started? To check, click start, run, type sevices.msc, cloick OK or press enter. In the Window that opens, scrol;l down to server. If not started, start the service. Then try MBSA again.
