Updating IE to IE 11.0.14 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently have IE 11.0.9600.17416 when I click Tools... About Internet Explorer. It says I have an option to install IE 11.0.14. How can I get this update?  I click on the link for the KB MS14-65 and it says the update is already installed.  I've checked Windows Update and its all updates have been installed.  I'm using a Dell laptop with Windows 8.1 Professional 64 bit.

  • Hi Mike ,

According to our test ,we take the same situation and we have installed the update. This is by design.

Only if this option "Install new version automatically" has been chosen ,there is no need to worry about missing the update.

    Best regards

  • If KB3003057 is listed in Installed Updates and the second line of text in IE Help | About reads Update Versions: 11.0.14 (KB3003057), it's already installed.

Note: The Install new versions automatically option pertains to IE version upgrades (e.g., IE12; IE13), not updated versions of IE11.

  • I think the About Internet Explorer in question indicates that you have installed the update 11.0.14.

...the Update Versions field. The field is updated every time Internet Explorer... is updated.

    ...

For example, if the first update for Internet Explorer 9 has been installed, the About Internet Explorer dialog box will have a link to "Update versions: 9.0.1 (KB2530548)."
