Pre-Configured Compliance Settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have recently upgraded to sccm 2012 from 2007. Although not widely used in the past, there were some items that were imported to the DCM area of 2007 which I've been told were management pack type imports , pre-configured , downloaded and then installed in 2007

Are there any type of items that are pre-configured for SCCM 2012 to import in the configuration items that you can then customize? Going one step further are there any items out there that people could recommend for ITIL compliance within SCCM

  • TO my knowledge, no there is nothing specific to 2012; however, the configuration packs made for 2007 work fine (although most are a bit dated): http://blogs.technet.com/b/manageabilityguys/archive/2010/02/13/configuration-manager-2007-desired-configuration-management-configuration-packs.aspx

You can also use the Security Compliance Manager (SCM) (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16776) to quickly create baselines from group policy. SCM also includes many baselines that can be exported for use with compliance settings.
