Upgrade WIndows 10 build 10240 (1507) to Windows 10 10586 (1511) using SCCM 1606. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have Windows 10 machine with build 1507 installed. However, All Windows 10 Updates node in Software Library shows Required=0 for upgrade Windows 10 build 10586 (1511). It does show required=1 for Windows 10 Anniversary Update (1607).

Infact, when Servicing Plan is created for deploying Windows 10 build 1511 upgrade, Software Update Group shows that endpoint is "Compliant".

    What is the reason?

  • Hi,

There're several prerequisites you will have to check before you can see the correct data in the Windows 10 servicing dashboard:

        1. Make sure you are using ConfigMgr for software update management instead of the Windows update for business(WUFB). Also if you have Windows 10 CBB (version 1507) , you may will not see the 1511 upgrade as required.

        2. Install the required hotfixes KB3095113 and KB3159706.

        3. Make sure these Windows 10 devices shown as "Active" on your console and no communication issue with MP.
