  • Hi,

You can try this key: 774GJ-X3942-9GTKT-FWYJ9-KM77K

Note: If this key is not invalid, you will have to re-registered and get the new one.

The 4006 build is the first beta, but a newer build (4536) is available to the public.  You might want to consider uninstalling your current Office 2010, rebooting, then installing the newer version:

    http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/default.aspx

When you try to enter a key, what error message do you get?

  • Hey Ted,

I'm also using MS office 2010 Professional Plus. Today, I was prompted with the message to activate my product as only 4 days are left for activation. I used the key available on http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/activation.aspx which is 22HGX-728MX-BBWX9-7BB8X-J96B4

But same as above i got the message that this key is incorrect. I used the alternative key provided above, ie,  774GJ-X3942-9GTKT-FWYJ9-KM77K , but this also is not working.

Please provide a key that would work.

Just for info, I'm using version 14.0.4006.1010

  • Ted,

I am having a similar problem.  In trying to install the latest version of Office 2010 it will not install because this version will not upgrade the Technical Preview.  I am requested to uninstall the Preview version.  However, it will not uninstall.  Would it be possible to work around this or must I attempt to use the Registry Editor to remove all instances after deleting what is already showing as being installed?

  • What error do you see when you're trying to uninstall?

  • Ted,

Therein lies the problem.  When installing version 14.0.4514.1004 the files are extracted.  Then I receive an error message stating that the install cannot proceed because Office 2010 does not support upgrading from a prerelease version.  I have to uninstall any Office 2010 products and associated technologies first and then re-run setup.

When I attempt to do an uninstall version 14.0.4006.1110 from Control Panel it just sits and spins for a few seconds without any response or action.  No error message is posted.

On April 18 I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate.  I am unsure if the settings transferred properly.  I had only used and activated OneNote prior to this.
