trouble installing videostudio x4 pro-error 1935 RRS feed

    error 1935.  an error occurred during the installation of assembly 'microsoft.vc80.atl.type="win32", version='8.0.50727.42",publickeytoken='1fc8b39a1e18e3b",processorarchitecture="x86".  please refer to help and support for more information.

    i've called corel.  no help x 3 calls.  rebooted several times. tried to install as a new user-no help.  tried to install in safe mode-cant do install there.  temp files empty.  recycle empty. no other background programs running that i know of.  windows defender doesnt find a problem.  norton disabled.
