BSOD on XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I keep getting the BSOD up on my computer. I have a Windows XP 2002 Service Pack 3 system, with all of the latest updates installed.  It is 2.00GHz, with 512MB RAM. I have an NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphics card installed, however the BSOD problem has been going on since before I had that installed.

Within an hour of being on my computer, it will turn off, then restart itself, at which point the well-known BSOD appears. My computer has been doing this for almost 2 years now, and I'm sick and tired of it happening.

    This is the Error signature:
    BCCode: 1000008e  BCP1: C0000005  BCP2: 00000000  BCP3: B9DD2BB0
    BCP4: 00000000  OSVer: 5_1_2600  SP: 3_0  Product: 768_1

And the files included in the error are:

I have done everything I can think of to fix this problem. I have run diskchecks, defragmentations, virus scans (through 2 different companies - McCafee and AVG), system resets - and I've even replaced my computer monitor, but nothing seems to have worked.

Can anyone make sense of these codes? If so, HELP!!
