DHCP Issues Router from Reservations erased RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I have two DHCP Servers (Win2012 Primary, and Win2016 Secondary in Failover Mode). Suddenly the router parameter randomly is erased from one or two reservations..

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be great!

    Thanks!

  • Hi ,

Did you create the invalid reservation? For example, a reservation created of 192.168.25.0 (the zero, shouldn’t be a reservation, it should be anything from .1 to .254)

If possible, please take a screenshot for the error and upload the images in our forum directly so that I can do further analysis based on the error.

Also, check the event log to see if there are something related for us to troubleshooting.

    Best Regards,

    Candy

  • Candy, they're valid reservations, i'm respecting the standards heh. There's no error, just the router field instead of having my default gateway (192.168.121.1) its empty.

    This is correct example :

Randomly some reservations forget its value.

The events im getting, they're because of my manual updates of the router field in the configuration.

Reservation: [[192.168.115.179]] for IPv4 under Scope: [[MyNetScope] is Updated with Option Setting: [3 - Router] by Domain\Administrator.
