Mail Merge - different number of records for 2 users RRS feed

    Word 2013 Pro - 2 users in different locations looking at the same document on their PC on a network share have a different number of records on the Mailings tab. They both have the same permissions on the network share. If i log on to our Terminal Server as either user, I get the same results as the user, so it is definitely a user based issue. The correct total is 7287 but one user is only seeing 7185. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

    It might be a database permissions issue, with the users having access rights to different records.

    It's taking the data from an Excel spread sheet which has no special permissions set on it.

    In that case, either the users are connecting to different copies of the workbook or they're using different merge filters.

    They're both connecting to the same Word Document and the same Excel spread sheet. It is confirmed by seeing the warning that the document is open by someone else on both the doc and spread sheet.
