  • Question

  • If I change the remaining work on subtasks it does not change the completion status on the main tasks. This is happening only for me. My colleagues have the same access but they do not face this problem. Tried to save the plan offline and opened it again without connecting to the project server and tried to save it on the server. But it did not resolve the issue. I found the resource to be over-allocated. Is this the issue?

If you look at the Finish date for the summary task in question, do you see a red wavy underline below the date?  If so, that would indicate the source of your problem is that the summary task has somehow gotten changed the Manually Scheduled.  If this is the case, change it back to Auto Scheduled and the problem will be resolved.  Let us know if this helps.

  • Hi Ankit,

if Dale was right (what I believe), you might wonder, how that could happen.

The problem is that if you accidentely touch start or finish date of a summary task, this task will become manually scheduled.

    Kind regards
