My css file is now doing this. It's locked in read only mode. I try to check it out and it says it is being used by me. It's not. I rebooted the server. Still the same problem. Can't check it in because it's not checked out.
Can't check it out because it says that I have it locked! What the hell! I can't believe that someone in this group says wait 10 minutes and try again. Why not tell the person to count to 100, close your eyes, say a prayer to God, turn your chair around 3 times and try again! Just as dumb!

Hi,

I understand that you cannot check out or check in a css file. Where do you store the css files?

If it is in the style library, you can first disable ‘Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited.’. Then check whether the file is still read only.If this doesn’t work, you can try to download a copy of this file to desktop. Then upload the file to the style library to overwrite the existing file.
