The free space of C: often becomes small recently, how to fix the issue RRS feed

  • Dear all,

            I meet with a strange issue about my windows XP professional, SP3.

    The free space of C: often becomes small recently. I had uninstalled many unused software in my XP and always clean temp cache in my profile. But such issue still happens.

            I have checked iTunes folder, it only occupy 206M.

            The total space of my C: is 19.5 G, but now it often reaches to 400~560 M.

    What should I do to increase the free space of C drive?

  • If CCleaner misses it, also check the size of your iTunes backup folder - just had a case where it had grown to over 7GB.

    In XP this is C:\Documents and Settings\[Your User Name]\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

    Application Data is a hidden folder - to see it, first enable viewing hidden files/folders.
