  • Hi,

Unfortunately that data is stored within the Project Server Reporting DB, to remove the tags, the easiest way is to implement a custom UDF in the reporting db similar to the one at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/457701/best-way-to-strip-html-tags-from-a-string-in-sql-server. You can then modify the Project Server - Issues and Project Server - Risks ODC's to wrap the discussion field in that UDF.

    Hope this makes sense.

  • Hi Alex,

Many thanks for your response. This is something totally manual, is there any way to make/configure it through the system? Otherwise this will be the last option for me.

    Many thanks

  • If you change the odc files, they will be available for all reports that use them. The only other option I can think of would be to stop the div's being inserted at the source, perhaps by changing the field type in the list from Rich Text to Plain Text. Of course you will need to test this works as expected with the synchronisation.

  • Hi Moshin,  Can you explain how you created this file.  Where is the exteranl data coming from that you are showing in the PivotTable?

Also does the same problem occur when you open the file in the Excel Desktop Client?

  • Hi Tyson, this report is in OOB solution. All data is coming from the ProjectServer_Reporting database and showing by using PivotTable.

And these Html tags do not appear when I open the file in Excel Desktop Client.

Could you please provide any proper and solid solution for this, as right now I'm using UDF in MS SQL Server.

    Many thanks.

  • Any ideas of how to do this in Project Online? I could use a calculated column in Power Pivot, but that would be difficult to parse all of the many HTML tags.
