Project Server 2013 - Saving masterprojects in SharePoint Library RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

I would have a question on saving masterprojects to SharePoint Librarys in Project Server 2013.

What I do in Project Server 2010 (and 2013) is:

    - Create some Projects in PWA

    - Create masterprojects out of these by taking an empty .mpp file and making use of +Subprojects

    - Save the .mpp file to a SharePoint Library underneath Project Server

    Behavior in 2010:

    - I open the masterproject from SharePoint Library under the Server Account and I can manage my masterproject and the embedded subprojects. All data is synchronized into Project Server Draft DB

    Behavior in 2013:

    - I open the masterproject from SharePoint Library under the Server Account. However the embedded subprojects do not show (expand).

    - A message says "We can't insert or expand this project,...)

BUT: When I open the masterproject from SharePoint Library under the Server Account using the SharePoint Explorer View, all is working correct.

May anybody comment on this? Sounds all confusing.

    Many thanks

    Stefan
