XenServer 5.6 SP2 to Hyper-V... will not accept root username and password RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an old Linux server running XenServer 5.6 SP2. I want to use the Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter to move a few hard to duplicate servers to a new Windows server running 2012 R2 and Hyper-V.

When I get to source, I enter in the XenServer IP, "root" as the username and then the password. This is the info I can also enter into XenCenter to remotely access it, and I have also logged into the machine itself with this password. It just will NOT take it. Any advice? Could the real username be other than "root"?
