MS365 - Outlook keeps asking for password RRS feed

  • Fully updated MS-Ofc365 - Outlook keeps malfunctioning.  Called for help, and a MS (off-shore) agent established new Outlook account for me, seemed to fix the problem; started again this morning.  How to fix this bug, please?

    Thanks for visiting our forum.

    Does this issue occur when you attempt to start Outlook?
    What's the type of your email account, Exchange, IMAP or POP3?

    If you are using an Exchange account, please go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings, highlight the Exchange account and click Change, then click More Settings > Security tab, make sure the “Always prompt for logon credentials” option is not selected:


    If you are using other types of account, please make sure you have ticked the option "Remember password":

    If the issue persists, try the following steps to remove the cached credentials in Windows system:

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Credential Manager.
    Note If View by is set to Category, click User Accounts first, and then click Credential Manager.
    2. Locate  the set of credentials that has Outlook in the name.
    3. Click the name to expand the set of credentials, and then click Remove from Vault.
    Repeat step 3 for any additional sets of credentials that have the word Outlook in the name.
