I would like to turn off the "tap to click" on the touchpad of my new computer. I've got a Hp pavilion g6 laptop with windows 7. I can't find it anywhere how to do this, does anyone know??
Thanks

In that case I would just hit up HP's support site and make sure you've got the current driver & utilities installed... won't hurt to be current and would likely fix your problem! :)

Hi ,
In addition to garwynn suggested, here is a solved thread on the HP forum for your reference.

Look inside Control Panel and there should be a ClickPad icon. Inside there you can disable various settings, including the tap to click options - or even disable the ClickPad entirely.
More available on HP's website.

I've done like you said on all my previous computers but on this one there is no such option there. I think it's really weird. I also checked the website but cudn't find it there either. Thanks for the answer :)Thursday, July 26, 2012 8:31 PM
