Trouble with MS Outlook wanting to connect to \\i.frg.im\OkVliel RRS feed

  • Question

  • After making an eBay purchase and receiving the confirmation email I began having issues with Outlook 2010. I am running Win 10. I have a Hotmail Account running via MS Outlook set up on the MS Exchange.

All of a sudden Outlook said it was connecting to  \\i.frg.im\OkVliel. I went on-line to check this out and found someone else who had the same issue after making a purchase on eBay. I contacted eBay and there is nothing they can do.

I am not sure what is causing this. I tried to repair MS Office and that did not help. I am not sure but I am guessing each time Outlook goes to check for mail is when this is happening, but I could be wrong. The systems seem to hang up when that happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi,

Based on my research, this issue usually happens when you have Outlook set to automatically download pictures from the Internet and when the web server hosting the image is slow or not available. To fix the issue, please try to set the Outlook automatic download settings a bit more stricter. See the following article which discussed this issue in details:
