AMD Radeon HD 6650M bluescreening RRS feed

  • Question

  • After waking up from hibernation, Flash video can create BlueScreen.

No help from AMD site as the driver detection does no detect the driver.

Acer (8950G) site has drivers from 2010!

  • Here is a starting point for debugging,

If you want help, please upload the files in c:\windows\minidump to
    skydrive and post a link,

  • I assume the errors will go to Windows Report?

    https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=6750291F4DB4CEA4&id=6750291F4DB4CEA4%21116

Thats the link for what its worth fro the latest Bluescreen.

The exeptions dont say much to me.

The Laptop is a month old so i believe there will be a driver update to this.

  • Catalyst wont reckognize that there is a Radeon display adapter on this machine...

    (amddriverdownloader.exe)

I guess that old driver is the problem though.

Have not found how to install a newer version.

Windows Updae has not got it either.

  • Also catalyst_mobility_64-bit_util.exe wont reckognize the display adapter...

Right click and "Install as Administrator" wont help either.

Bought two of these i7 machines and both have the same problem.
