Ms Project Status Date Split Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have an scheduling problem in Ms Project.

I have 3 activities a,b and c.  Activities a,b and c are link with FS respectively.

When I rescheduled the project, started works split and remaning parts go after the status date.

Since activity b has started and should continue by status date, only activity a start with status date and remaining part of b starts after activity a.

However, I want  the remaning part of b to be started by status date.

How can I solve this problem?

    Need your helps..

  • Hi,

Unlink the tasks by all means. The links cannot be real since b has started before a was finished. Introducing phony links will lead to phony results :-(

Why can't the three tasks happen in parallel? If resource availability is the problem, better use resource leveling.
