  • Did you replace your ADK with the latest? You can't deploy a newer OS than the ADK/WinPE you have installed on your deployment server. Also don't for get to update your deployment share to create new boot images after updating the ADK.

  • I have

    Workbench version 6.3.8456.1000

    WDS version 10.0.14393.2608

    ADK - Windows 10 version 10.1.18362.1

ADK Windows Preinstallation Enviroment Add-ons - Windows 10 version 10.1.18362.1

After add new OS and Task Sequence i always

    1. update my Deployment Share in Workbench

    2. replace boot image in WDS

    3. restart my server in WDS

  • Problem solved -  in offline packages i had .Net Framework.

After disable it the problem does not occur.

  • Ah. That's one of the problems with injecting packages rather than building an up to date image. If that package doesn't match the OS you risk BSOD or deployment failure. It also forces you to pay attention to when packages are superseded by another.

The RegQuery is related to an earlier issue I posted on GitHub... where the Host Machine's registry hive was being used instead of the mounted image.

I mentioned that DISM was operating dangerously, it should exit instead of continuing further Imaging operation, when REG PATH is no longer able to be resolved.

"ADK is currently failing installing the 14/MAY/2019 LCU KB4497936 on the Windows Recovery Image.
It is also operating dangerously, as it unmounts the Working Image, and continues Add-Package operation using the Host System Registry Hive."

Due to the fact that there is no place for SSU or ADK in Tech Documents or MSDN or Techbench... I've been spamming crap everywhere....
