  • Thanks S.Kawan,

However, i have come to know that "You must have a Windows Server 2008 R2-based or Windows Server 2008-based Domain Controller" for FIM 2010 R2. We need to do many configuration on AD for Password reset and registration application.

Does all the configuration for SSPR can be done on AD 2003?

As per my knowledge there are many differences between ad 2003 and 2008.

    Thanks

  • You won't be able to set things up to enforce password history on AD 2003.  So the user will be able to reset their password to the same one as before.

  • Thanks Mark,it is good point. It means we are unable to enforce password history on AD 2003. Is there any patches to overcome this? Any other thing we needs to take care.

  • Not that I know of, but you can get away with only one 2008 DC which is the PDC emulator and point FIM to that.

  • Mark,

Our client already has AD 2003 and not interested to migrate the AD 2003 to AD 2008.
