    Hello All,

    First of all happy new year :)

    I only have a quick question I am installing F-secure antivirus on my Exchange servers. I haven't implemented the environment and have to deploy the antivirus application. I will install it on my 2 Edge servers and 2 CASHUB servers.

    --> However, I notice that no antivirus application was installed on my Mailbox servers. DO I have to install the antivirus application on it? So I need to pay attention to something in particular at the instalation? or options or else?

    Is this file-level anti-virus or Exchange Aware anti-virus?

     

    If Exchange aware, its up to you if you want to install it on the MBX servers as well. Every message goes through the hub transports, however anti-virus on the MBX servers may help prevent other avenues of attack ( Pst imports/Other clients etc...)
